Die Keure to install the world’s first Roland 700 Evolution presses
Die Keure is the world’s first printer to install the new generation ‘hot off the press’ Roland-presses. This concerns a 10-colour and 5-colour press.
Manroland officially launched their new press complete with its entirely new design in front of almost 500 business partners on 5 November 2014 in Offenbach. Besides its new design the Evolution press also features a brand new motor reaching max. speeds of 18,000 sheets per hour.
Although three Evolution presses are already undergoing a beta-test the two presses at Die Keure in Bruges shall be the very first production machines ever sold. These machines are a 5-colour + varnish Roland 705 LV Evolution DirectDrive and a 10-colour Roland 710 P Evolution DirectDrive. The presses are to be installed this year in May and November respectively.
The Roland 700 Evolution also recently won a renowned Red Dot Award for Production Design 2015. The Awards were selected among almost 5000 entries from 56 countries. Red Dot is based in Singapore, a city that has earned itself quite a reputation as a design metropolis. The Evolution press was developed and launched over the course of two years.
