Luc Leboeuf holds a PhD in Law from the Catholic University of Louvain since 2015. Before joining the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in 2017 as a postdoctoral researcher, he practised migration law at a Belgian law firm, where he qualified as a lawyer (‘avocat’). He also taught migration law as a Guest Professor in the law faculty of the University of Antwerp (2017 and 2018) and of the University of Louvain (2015). He held visiting positions at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law (2019) and at the Refugee Studies Centre of the University of Oxford (2014). He is a member of the editorial boards of the Revue du droit des étrangers and the Tijdschrift voor Vreemdelingenrecht.
