Alex Franchimont is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office. He focuses on labour and employment law and on data protection issues in the context of the employment relationship. Since September 2013, Alex has been a junior affiliated researcher at the Institute of Employment Law of the Catholic University of Leuven. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Alex worked in the labour and employment department of another international law firm (Eversheds) and a highly-ranked Belgian business law firm (Laga), where he advised both international and national companies, mainly in the retail and aviation sectors.
Alex assists both national and international companies with their complex employment issues. These concern, for example: restructuring, closure of companies, termination of employment agreements, drafting and reviewing of work regulations and policies, international employment matters, audits/due diligence for multinationals, and drafting and negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Alex also has litigation experience regarding these matters, representing his clients before the Belgian courts, both in French and in Dutch.
