Onze vissers. Het DNA van het Zilte Leven.
Ineke Steevens (manager of the NAVIGO museum) takes a look at fishing through the eyes of a curator and connects the past with the present. Anne-Katrien Lescrauwaet and Jan Seys (VLIZ, Flanders Marine Institute) give a detailed history of Belgian sea fishing from 1830. Martin Heylen takes the stance of an admiring observer who regards the sea as an unattainable love, and photographer Stephan Vanfleteren looked young and old fishermen in the eye.
